The Continental Magnum Mark 2 is a 'balanced beam' helicopter side mount. It is a Gyro assisted system as opposed to Gyro stabilised, relying on three Kenlab KS-8 Admiral Gyros on Pan, Tilt, and Roll to help smooth movement in three axis. It comes complete with two Heden Lens motors for lens adjustment on the fly by the camera operator, as well as an integrated Start/Stop button on the operators hand controls.

The Continental is certified for operation in the AS350 and AS355 (Squirrel) Series helicopters. The Continental is typically fitted in the main cabin behind the Pilot's seat (the Right hand Side). The system can be installed on the Left hand side, however it is more commonly utilised on the Right side as this allows the pilot the same perspective for framing as the camera operator, and allows the left hand seats to be utilised for additional crew. The right hand doors are removed and a wind deflector is installed to assist stability for the operator.

The Continental is provided with a Long Arri Slide Plate and can accommodate most cameras with a standard bridge plate. An Arri Alexa, with an Angenieux 15-40mm, Angenieux 28-76mm, or Angenieux 25-250HR lenses are all options.
